Dear Sunnyside Church family
I am always encouraged by your commitment to the mission of this church. Many of you volunteer at Sunnyside on a regular basis and now you are doubly involved with the 12 night series, “How to Teach Your Kids about Life.” Thank you! Thank you!
This weekend we have night 5 and 6. Please continue to pray for those attending and all those participating, the cooks and cleaners, the cameras, the kids and staff at KGCN, the parents, the greeters and Pastor Jonathan.
Talking about Pastor Jonathan… he injured his shoulder this week and needs our prayers for healing. He should definitely not be putting his shoulder to the wheel. (Sorry Pastor Jonathan, I couldn’t resist, ouch.)
Pastor Scott has a surprise in store for you tomorrow during the worship service. Almost everything is set and ready, just two more pieces are needed. Come and see for yourself tomorrow. I am looking forward to it. I know you will enjoy the time for singing that Kathy and the team have chosen, come ready to sing praises from your heart.
Our Pathfinder leaders will be on a Teen Leadership Training course with 4 of our Pathfinders this weekend. To me this is a sign that the club is growing in strength and depth. There is also a group of ladies who are going to Eagle Creek for the Women’s Ministry Retreat. I know that they will also have a blessing filled weekend.
Do you mind if I sneak in a little family news? Today is Ethan’s first birthday! Yes our grandson is one today. Dave and I are blessed! Our son and daughter-in-law, Sheldon and Chantelle climbed Kiliminjaro this week. We have yet to hear more about the trek up and down which leads me to my next thought…
Whether you have been on the top of the mountain or in the valley this week I know that the Lord has been with you because he has promised to be with us wherever we go.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
