Feb 23 Communiqué & Announcements

(Need to jump straight to the News? Click Here!)

Sunnyside Congregation,

Coming already is the last Sabbath of February.  You have only 304 days until Christmas.  Ah, but let’s celebrate that spring is around the corner.  There are already the earliest of the season’s flowers starting to show their Creator’s love of color.  God is so good!

This Sabbath is a Sabbath to celebrate God’s word, and to do so we are going to take a look at Psalms 119.  It has been called the “Mount Everest” of the Psalms, not because of its size, but because of its message, nobleness, and grandeur.  Its author has such a passion and thirst for the word of the Lord.  Many songs and hymns have found inspiration in the pen strokes of Psalm 119.

God’s people are called to a special place in leadership, and God wishes to have His words on their lips.  Be sure to bring a Bible of your preferred translation and come to be inspired.

Sabbath, March 2, will be a special Sabbath at Sunnyside with many guests in our house.  Sunnyside will again host the every two year Oregon Conference Education Department Choir Festival.  Youthful voices from all around the Oregon Conference will be present a variety of musical selections for our worship experience.  Many of them will be joining us for our potluck.  Plan to see a wonderful testimony of youth in action for the Lord.

Maranatha!  Yes, the Lord is coming.

Pastor Scott & Staff
