Hello Church Family,
I am hearing so many good reports about last Sabbath. Yes, where I was at, was great but I am talking about Sunnyside, the place I missed. Thanks Jonathan and gang. Dorothy and I missed you.
This Sabbath we will be back with you. Sabbath’s sermon is entitled, “The Parable of the Fig.” You might be thinking, “I have never heard a sermon on figs before!” This is my first as well. Nonetheless, the fig plays a major role in Old Testament prophecy, a motif that Jesus picks up during his ministry. Why did he curse a fig tree just outside Jerusalem for everyone to see, and he did it intentionally right before the crucifixion?
Mark 13:28; “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near.”
I understand we are going to miss a bunch of our Pathfinders for church. Well, that is what Pathfindering is all about. We have the greatest staff and kids. The hours and dedication of our Pathfinder staff is so commendable. Thanks guys!!! Have fun!
Meanwhile, we will enjoy our choir during second service, and all of you first service people, you will have a special treat for your Ministry of Music selection. Come and enjoy!
See you tomorrow!
