Sunnyside Church Members: Greetings from the pastoral staff! Is it my imagination or does life pick up pace when we get into the spring and summer months? It sure seems to speed up. Sounds like a great weekend on the way.
Hey, how about a special welcome to the many snow-birds who showed up on Sabbath joining the others who have already having returned? Welcome home!
And, a special thanks to all who pitched in on Sabbath for the appeal to strengthen our church budget funds. Your giving went a nice step towards putting us back where we need to be. Thank you all!!!
During this Sabbath’s worship service we are going to look at Jesus’ parable of the rock. The rock metaphor in the Bible is one of the most common. We see it in almost every book. Many are in the Psalms such as this one in chapter eighteen verse two: “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” So what are the spiritual lessons that God has for us? Why does He use this motif so often? That will be the subject of our study.
Don’t forget Family Night on Sunday evening!
See you Sabbath!
Courage to all,
