Dear Sunnyside Church Family:
I am having a hard time concentrating on doing the things that need to be done today. Dave and I are counting down the hours until our family arrives and he keeps calling me Grandma (not that I need reminding). Kayla is coming to visit to see grandpa’s garden. We will hang on their every word in the next three weeks.
Every word Christ spoke was profound but what He spoke on the cross has even more depth considering what He was enduring for us. This is the fourth Sabbath in our series and we will consider Christ’s words, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me.” Have there been times in your life when you have felt forsaken by God? Some of you may be feeling that way right now. I trust and pray that you will feel encouraged by what we share. This Sabbath a number of women from Women’s Ministries will be part of the service.
I am looking forward to having the Women’s Chorus sing this Sabbath. They will be under the direction of Rosemayne Thompson and accompanied by Susan Erich. The women from Belle Cantori (Beautiful Singers) which is led by Martha Natiuk will be joining them to bring praise to God. I know you will be blessed.
I love this quote.
Nothing we do is more powerful or more life-changing than praising God. It is the means by which God transforms us.
Grace mercy peace

The Ballards’ home can be found behind the lake at the far end of the campground toward Rivergate School. Families are welcome. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, a cold potluck dish (and serving utensil), or finger foods to share! The lawn is big enough for all! The gate will be open behind Somerset Lodge which will take you directly to the Ballards’ home. Truly, the only ‘present’ we want is your ‘presence’ on our happy day. We hope to see you there.” ~Becky and Carl
