October 26 Communiqué

“Then Job answered the LORD and said, ‘Behold, I am insignificant; what can I reply to You? I lay my hand on my mouth.  Once I have spoken, and I will not answer; even twice, and I will add nothing more.’”  Job 40:3-5.

Hello Sunnyside Saints!

What a wonderful week!  Agreed?  The colors, and to imagine that God gave us eyes to behold!  The miracle of the eye and light are just some of the great mysteries that someday God will explain to us.  Meanwhile, even though we cannot fully explain it, why not just enjoy it?

This week we finished the health lecture series by Dr. Don Hall.  Last Sunday night I counted more than fifty people in attendance.  We will continue them once a month or so; just watch for details.  And if you were at the organ concert Wednesday night, you were treated to the best in the sounds of pipes with Hans Hielscher.  But if you missed this one, come out Sunday afternoon, 4:00, for this season’s first performance by the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra.  Our concert series is just getting started; much more is to come, especially during the upcoming holidays.

Please, also see the note in this Communiqué for next weekend’s CBFM (Center for Bible, Faith, and Mission).  It is just Friday night and Sabbath.  I think you will be blessed; bring your questions.

Tomorrow’s service is centered on the theme of spiritual breakpoints.  In it we will look at some of the reasons why our spiritual life is so often like a roller coaster, and how it is that sometimes we lose our faith altogether.  Come and enjoy our choir; invite a friend!

Sabbath evening we begin the readings for the annual fall week of prayer.  We have copies for the attendees.  Come and celebrate the closing hours of the Sabbath with a season of prayer.

See you tomorrow,

Pastor Scott & Staff
