This Sabbath is the second of our “Christmas as Sunnyside” Sabbaths and this one will feature our Sunnyside children as they do their best for Jesus and us. These Christmas events are a memory maker for our kids. A lot of work goes into making this Sabbath happen. Do plan to come and see nervous and eager kids participate as they celebrate “Sweet Baby Jesus.”
And it should be mentioned, that first service will be traditional. This will be a two for the price of one Sabbath. Pastor Scott will speak at first service on the subject of “peace,” and will come from John 14:27, where Jesus told his disciples, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” Yet in the context of all of this, He was unloading on them the news of His crucifixion and departure from this earth. How can that be comforting? What did He mean? Come for both services!
Also, at 4:00 on Sabbath afternoon, we will host “Out of Darkness, Light,”, performed by the Sunnyside Brass, Trombone Choir, Trombone Quartet, and Sunnyside Cello Quartet, directed by Dr. John Carter.
Then save some energy for our next two weekends and December 20’s Family Musical Christmas program.
See you Sabbath, all day if you like!
