Dear Sunnyside Church Family,
I was inspired this week by the diligence, enthusiasm and knowledge of our Grades 7 and 8 PAES Students who participated in the Cultural Geography Fair on Tuesday night held at PAA (A number of them were from Sunnyside.) They knew their subject, they spoke with authority and their displays were informative and well documented. The subjects were diverse from Prague, to Aztecs, to Salt, to Sir Edmund Hillary to the Cold War.
It was so difficult being a judge. We had a hard time figuring out who would win the 10 prizes. We wanted to give prizes to everyone. This Sunday is the NFL Super Bowl. Only one team can win. Will it be the Seattle Seahawks or the Denver Broncos? Sochi is also right around the corner. The Winter Olympics in Sochi start February 6. Only one person or team can win the gold in each event.
For each participant it is a defining moment. Which will be the winning side? One day we will all face a defining moment. Are you on the winning side? You can choose today to embrace the winner; choose Jesus, choose victory. It’s what you were created for! “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(I Corinthians 15:57 ESV).
