Since I last wrote, so much has happened. A group of four of Sunnysiders, Ralph Martin, Vasile Gramada, Dick Fenn, and myself have complete a very successful two weeks in Romania. We had a full schedule of events of which we will share more details with you Sabbath during Family Life and Mission time.
But while I was gone, you had two great weekends; the first was with Walla Walla University, and the next with Dr. Arlene Taylor. And the storm of which I missed out on except for a little shoveling when I got home. Still, a big thanks to those who still gathered and pulled off a full morning of programming with Dr. Taylor and live-streamed it to the 200+ homes of people who logged in and watched. I am told that we were the only Adventist church open and what a job you did.
I am delighted to see the progress on the fellowship room; the goal is to be completely finished by the end of March, and that objective seems to be very reachable. Another big thanks needs to be given to the committees and work teams that are making that happen.
A lot is happening this coming weekend so please, read the announcement section for your personal FYI. The Sabbath worship theme is, “Come Into the Holy of Holies.” Since children’s church was cancelled last week, they are doing it this week, so families, plan accordingly.
I had a great time in Romania but I also missed my church. I found that no few in Romania do watch Sunnyside worship services on live-streaming. Sunnyside is a familiar quantity in that part of the world.
See you Sabbath,
With you in Christ,
Pastor Scott and Staff

A very inspiring movie. Door prices and refreshments provided.
Sunnyside’s four apostles to Romania rejoice (1) to be home and (2) to have had the privilege of participating in an intense two-week mission in the territory of the Moldova Conference. Team members presented leadership lectures at a conference-sponsored seminar in Bacau. / Senior Pastor Scott LeMert conducted a vigorous university student-supported preaching series in Iasi while Pastor Ralph Martin, the team patriarch, held a successful one-week evangelistic effort in Piatra Neamt. Team Leader Dick Fenn and Principal Scheduler Vasile Gramada shared in 20 services of one kind or another in a dozen different venues from Siret to Targu Mures. / Observed Pastor Scott: “Every Sunnyside dollar invested in Romania was actually worth at least double its face value. This was a great mission!” The team will present a full, illustrated report to Sunnyside. Watch for an announcement.
