Wow! What a beautiful weekend we just experienced. The weather was fantastic and the activities of the church were a blessing to all. Now, as I write, finishing work is being done in the Fellowship Room. The new sound system is getting wired in and will be up and running this weekend. And, teams of our members are installing the sound proofing on the walls; it is amazing what a difference they make in the sound bounce in the room. Thanks to all who have financially supported the project and to those who have put in valuable time in planning, making it happen, and doing so much of the labor. That has been a real cost savings.
This weekend will see Sunnyside in its usual busyness. Our worship service is entitled, “Silence and Celebration,” and in it we will look at the subject of reverence as a part of our worship experience. What does God expect; what can we learn from the Bible; and what are our traditions and how do they affect what we do? At 7:30 in the evening we will host an Adventist, double quartet, group of young men called, “Enthousiasmos.” This is a group of seminary students and young pastors from Romania who have been singing together for years and have several CDs to their names. Two of the group currently pastor in the Oregon Conference. Now married and living in many different parts of the globe, they are coming together for this reunion concert. This is not a concert to miss.
See you Sabbath!
