Dear Family and Friends,
Well the summer winds are blowing—at least for a couple of days. I just saw Kathy Manley walk through the front door—this is a sure sign of sunny days to come!
Well, there are promised “showers of blessings” this weekend, and that will include spiritual showers at Sunnyside. Among the many great Sabbath School classes, our worship services will focus on “The Glorious Names of God.” This is a subject that I get excited about, but my excitement is eclipsed by the music coming for Sabbath. The Sunnyside Young Adults have charge of the music in praise this week and it will be unsurpassed. The selections have been carefully selected, and in the planning for many weeks, to go along with the sermon theme. It is with true humility that I say to all, if you don’t want to come for the sermon, come for the music!!!
It has been noticed that not a few of our members have been inviting their friends and neighbors to church at Sunnyside. This, I believe, will be another one of those Sabbaths in which your invites will thank you!
And, don’t forget the potluck, and, the Adventurer and Pathfinder Investiture services in the afternoon, and, the Sunnyside Symphony Orchestra on Sunday afternoon.
See you at the Cross,
Pastor Scott & Staff
