You have to love fall. Crunchier and tastier apples cannot be found any other time of the year. Just picked up some winter squash. Can’t wait! Sounds like one more nice weekend and then fall is to bring in its cooler temps and its parade of colors. When one reads Genesis, one sees that all creation prior to man was designed for us to enjoy and appreciate. God is good!
As we speak, many of our Sunnyside members are in Romania as part of another concert tour of the Oregon Adventist Men’s Chorus. This should be a splendid time to see Romania. If you have not been there, the countryside is as beautiful as anywhere on Earth. Forests, gardens, and fields everywhere! Romania is a very spiritual country that takes worship very seriously and they have a hospitality to go along with it. May God richly bless their trip!
Sabbath at Sunnyside is also hours away. The title of the service/sermon is “Revelation’s Antagonists.” That might sound rather negative, but I hope you will not find it so. Yes, we will be looking at those who align themselves against the Lamb, but we are also going to look at how He deals with those who cause trouble. We will see the love of God, we will see how pastoral He is, and we will also see that when He has done all he can, He will declare it over, “there shall be time no longer!” Revelation was inspired by God to be an encouragement to His people, and yes, a warning to His foes. You’ll love the music and plan to sing the hymn of response, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” with renewed hope and energy.
See you in worship on Sabbath,
Pastor Scott and Staff
