March 28 Communiqué

Don’t miss other Announcements  &  Week At a Glance in the Church Bulletin (Click here )

Happy Spring, Sunnysiders!

The rains have moved east and the sun is warming the land.  Have you seen the “green” coming across the horizon as the trees leaf out? The promise and fulfillment of spring always inspires me to trust in the promises of eternal life in the words of Jesus, “I am the Resurrection!”

This Sabbath will be a high day for Sunnyside.  As most always, there will be two services, but they will be completely different.  The first will feel more traditional, however, I invite you to come if you can and be blest from the service as we look at “Daniel’s Messiah.”  In this we will look at how the book of Daniel set a new direction in understanding of whom the Messiah would be and the nature of His mission to this earth.  It is a study of hope, a study truly of “God with us.”  Many are the lessons for us to carry, in our walk in this life, living in a society that largely says, “Where is the promise of His coming.”

Second service will be a one of a kind and you will not want to miss it.  This is one of those services that warrants each of us inviting someone to join us.  Dr. Melvin West developed this musical program and last fall celebrated this service at the Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church on the east coast.  We have been waiting for our opportunity and it is this Sabbath.  It is a service that specifically celebrates the crucifixion, resurrection, and promised return of Jesus Christ.  The service entails lots of singing as we progress through the events of the cross and relive the story.  The service will be long remembered.  If you wish, come for both services.

Don’t forget to come back at 4:00 pm and join us as we pause to remember the life of Bob Manley, friend, physician, and fellow believer in Christ.

See you Sabbath,

Pastor Scott and Staff
