Greetings Members and Friends of Sunnyside!
Can you believe that we are already into the middle of August? Last Sabbath was so August with lots of summer visitors and many usual faces on summer quests. And speaking of summer, another big thanks is due to the many hands who have given so many hours to the grounds of Sunnyside and to the renovation progress going on in the inside.
New hallway carpet in September!!! Can you believe the dream is coming true? See this Communiqué for the timing of pulling out the old carpet. With Sunnyside as busy as it is, it is interesting to reflect on how many events and feet the old carpet served. We will not make it as famous as the old outgoing carpet at PDX. We will just have a quiet and happy goodbye. We’ll save the celebrating once the new is installed! The new tile is really looking like it would like a new mate.
On Sabbath we will celebrate in our worship service with a study on the book of Zechariah and his heart-thumping vision of the coming of the Messiah, first and second advents. He focused on more than the mere events, but on the personal Savior Messiah. We will compare Zechariah’s timely message to our own 1888 reawakening into the experience of the Christ in us as our only hope for now and eternity. We will also have a guest attendance of musicians Calvin Knipschild and his daughter DeAnne. You have probably heard and seen DeAnne on LLBN, 3ABN, and Hope channels.
Please, scan the remaining announcements and plan to join us on Sabbath.
