May 7 Communiqué

Don’t miss other Announcements  &  Week At a Glance in the Church Bulletin (Click here)

Greetings Sunnyside Family,

One week from today, Lee Venden will arrive at Sunnyside and begin his “All About Jesus” revival series. A couple of weeks ago, Heidi Hill shared her spiritual journey which was revitalized by the ministry of Pastor Venden. Lee’s heart for Jesus and simple way of inspiring others to fall in love with Jesus again is sure to inspire our community of faith. Whether you’re brand-new to Adventism, or are a fifth-generation believer, this series will open your eyes again and encourage you toward a fresh experience with your Savior.

This series is a bit different than others we’ve had at Sunnyside before.  Often, we will have separate children’s programming in conjunction with evening meetings.  We considered that for this meeting also. But as I talked with Lee, his experience is that between the children’s feature in each meeting and the stories that he tells in the main presentation, children are just as tuned in as adults. As a family-focused church, we want to make it easy for children and their parents to worship together. If you have kids, I hope that they’ll be there (and don’t forget to pick up an “All About Jesus” activity sheet). If you have grandkids, bring them along. If you know of other family members or former church members that would be blessed by this series, take a flyer or two and make sure that others know about it.

I know that a nine-day commitment is a big one for many of us. Nevertheless, I expect that when we commit to our corporate spiritual growth, we will grow together into a closer, more connected, more faithful, more energized community of faith. I hope that you will journey with us as we go.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to live stream the evening meetings, but we will have a free shuttle running from Cherrywood each evening. Call the church office for reservations.

I can’t wait to see what God will do in our community through the ministry of Lee Venden.  Plan to be there!  You won’t be disappointed.

Blessings,

Pastor Jonathan
