August 27 Communiqué

Don’t miss other Announcements  &  Week At a Glance in the Church Bulletin (Click here)

Picture3Dear Family,

I am continually amazed and blessed by the incredible commitment and generosity that I witness here in our family at Sunnyside.

On Wednesday morning, I was blessed to spend time with ladies who gather every week to pray for each other and study God’s word. At the same time a group of men also meet in another room of the church for the same purpose. As I write, others in our family are gathering to help a young single mom and her family get back on their feet. In the office across from me, Rosie is faithfully taking care of all the details that keep our church smoothly running and I can hear Tom’s voice, which means that he is here taking care of maintenance needs.

I am humbled by the selfless love expressed in this community. You truly are the body of Christ, his hands and feet, a bright light in an ever-darkening world. Thank you for your love, thank you for choosing to be a part of our family. It is a joy to serve with you.

In the words of Paul,

I thank my God every time I remember you. In every prayer for all of you, I always pray with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6
