Apologies for the Communique’ that went out earlier. Our system crashed and in the process, sent out last week’s Communique’ again. Here is our current one!
Dear Church Family,
We are praying that you are safe and warm as you read this. It has been quite a week! Even the snow-excitement of this Aussie Pastor was tempered as we witnessed the difficulties that people faced as they tried to get home! However, alongside that immense frustration, shone God’s spirit of grace as people went out of their way to help each other; strangers that would otherwise never connect. Noble spirits that would possibly lay slightly dormant in the hectic pace of life. Dark times can be like that. They can allow, even facilitate, light to be seen that would otherwise go unnoticed.
I am reminded of John’s words in John 1:5: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” He wrote that during very dark times; life was hard, persecution real. However, God’s presence continued to be real, His Kingdom built, as His people chose to love, even in the darkness. Family, let us keep choosing to love, choosing to be the family that we are called to be.
On a practical note, snow is forecast for this Sabbath, and though Church will continue, we encourage you to stay safe and join us via live-streaming if travel is questionable.
Pastor Kara Dale
Special appreciation to Lloyd and Lorrie Wescott for all the work they silently do around the church — keeping the flowers gorgeous, fixing food whenever we need it, being there whenever and wherever we need them, and so much more. Thank you Lloyd and Lorrie. We appreciate you!

Living Hope International is looking for a 27 to 30-foot Class C recreational vehicle to replace our aging truck. Using an RV rather than a newer truck would save the cost and effort of installing a generator, water reservoir, and water heater, plus it would have plenty of room to store tables, stoves, and our other equipment. If you have an RV you rarely use and would appreciate an end-of-year tax write-off, we would LOVE to hear from you.
