As I sit here in reflection of a busy weekend at Sunnyside, I am overwhelming thankful for and inspired by, the beauty of the body of Christ. The reality of so many different, wonderful people, coming together, giving of their time, helping each other “do life.”
This past Sabbath we were blessed with the incredible music by I Cantori of Walla Walla University, by a plentiful potluck led by two of our Sabbath School Teams, inspired by remembering the life of Bonner Allen, and finally privileged to pray over our young Thorp family as they prepare for mission service in Nepal.
This does not even touch on the’‘Life Together” groups that have been meeting together! Through all of this, you, our church family, pulled together, showing up, cleaning up, giving food, listening to, and praying for each other, giving of your time. Thank you for choosing to be the body of Christ that the apostle Paul envisioned in 1 Corinthians 12 – “you are beautiful to behold!”
As we prepare for another blessed Sabbath, I pray that you do so with the knowledge that our God is shining through you brightly. Thank you for being faithful.
Pastor Kara Johnsson

Our worship services are at 8:45 and 11:15 am. Pastor Kara Johnsson will present our Bible message titled “Known.”
This afternoon, 4:00 pm, our Adventist Heritage seminar will resume in the Columbia Room. Pastor Scott LeMert will lead off this session with a discussion of the post-October 22, 1844, environment, i. e., where did all the believers (Adventists) go after the “Great Disappointment”? This is called the “Scattering Time” and it was chaos to be sure. We will also present short bios of the three people who, following Jesus, would lead a “little flock” out of this chaos. The journey continues as we look back, enabling us to move forward with increased faith in Jesus our Leader.
Tomorrow, Sunday, February 26, 2:00 pm, come and celebrate Pastor Kara and Terry Johnsson’s marriage. Many have asked about a registry – they are not registered anywhere; however, a wishing well will be available to which you may contribute.

March 17-26: Islam and Christianity in Bible Prophecy.
The headlines are unmistakable. Our world is on the precipice of extraordinary cataclysmic change. The conflict between two great religions – Islam and Christianity – is fast approaching a devastating climax that will shake the whole world. Indeed, the face of Western Europe has already been transformed through rapid Islamic expansion, and the fear of terror and holy war pervade the American psyche as multiple conflicts rage in the Middle East. But what happens next – and when? In an age of constant unpredictability, how can we really know what the future holds? After a decade of careful study and scholarly legwork, international speaker Tim Roosenberg unveils a staggering new study of Bible prophecy that demonstrates that God’s Word is not silent regarding Islam in these last days. Islam and Christianity in Prophecy carefully explores and unlocks the mysterious book of Daniel, specifically chapters 11 and 12, unveiling a thrilling picture of prophecy that includes the past, present, and future roles of Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, and the United States in the final conflict ahead. Along the way, Tim Roosenberg provides the answers you need to survive the growing holy war, answers that will give you complete confidence in God’s Word the Bible, and faith in the promises of Christ. Event Location: Healing Hope Adventist Fellowship.
