It’s amazing how fast time flies. Not only are we now in February, but it was on this day, two years ago, that my feet touched the ground of my new home, Portland. It was no small thing to hop on that plane with the knowledge in my soul that it would be a very long-term, if not permanent, move. Many of you have experienced similar emotions as you too have left countries of origin and made the United States your home. As I sit here and reflect, I am reminded of God’s goodness and faithfulness in providing for our needs, and for the blessing of the community that we find in His Kingdom. You have been that community for Terry and I, embracing us and providing a place to call home. Thank you. And thank you in advance for the same spirit that you share with others who choose to call Sunnyside their spiritual home.
The month of February is an exciting one for Sunnyside with two very special guest speakers:
This Sabbath: Dr. Terry Johnsson
February 17: Dr. Andrea Luxton (President of Andrews University)
Looking forward to sharing these special Sabbaths with you.
Pastor Kara Johnsson
