Dear Family,

It is good to be back! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes as I travelled – God blessed greatly. It was good to touch home soil, hug family, and enjoy some of Australia’s blessings, but it was also good to return to my home here.

When I first heard about Sunnyside’s need for an additional pastor and the possibility of it being me, I prayed for guidance from God. He gave me Psalm 139:9 “If I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” It was quite a direct message! And He has been so faithful in doing that, in holding me fast here in Portland. He really is a faithful Father.

As we approach another weekend, with this one having an emphasis on fathers, may we take comfort and assurance from the certainty of our heavenly Father’s goodness and faithfulness.

Looking forward to sharing with you all on Sabbath!

In Him,

Pastor Kara Johnsson
